Finding the right therapist can be challenging, therefore, free initial consultations are offered to all clients prior to embarking on this therapeutic journey with us. Meet Our Staff
Dr. Tashna Felix
Director / Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Felix is the owner and director of Professional Psychological Services. She is licensed as a psychologist in Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Florida. She is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment provider and qualified to provide adult and juvenile forensic evaluations in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. 

Dr. Felix completed her doctorate degree from Argosy University/Washington DC campus. She attended an APA accredited internship at MercyFrist in Syosset, NY and relocated to the Washington DC metropolitan area in 2009. She has experience in treatment and assessment of children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral difficulties, grief/loss, and more. She also has specialized training and expertise in forensic assessments and treatment with individuals involved in the criminal justice system. 

Dr. Felix has conducted numerous trainings and presentations including “Understanding and Managing Anger” for Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC), “Psychology on Special Needs Family” for The Mary and Melissa Show, “Suicide Prevention” and “Mental Health” trainings for William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center, and “Comprehensive Approaches to Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment” for API Associates, Inc. Dr. Felix is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ), Virginia Juvenile Justice Association (VJJA), Virginia Sex Offender Association (VSOTA), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), and National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC).

Ms. Ericka Chandler

Ms. Chandler is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the commonwealth of Virginia. She completed her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Tennessee State University. Ms. Chandler is certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and specializes in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties related to traumatic life events. Ms. Chandler also provides therapy to adults focusing on a variety of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and other emotional issues. She enjoys working with couples dealing with relationship and marital issues.

Mrs. Julia Greene

Mrs. Greene is a Licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and completed a master’s of arts degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Mrs. Greene has extensive experience in the treatment and evaluation of juvenile and adult sex offenders, in addition to, domestic violence and anger management treatment. She specializes in a variety of evaluation and therapy services to juveniles and adults who are involved in the legal system.

Dr. Trisha Aberton

Dr. Trisha Aberton completed her doctorate degree from Argosy University/Washington DC campus with a child and family concentration. Dr. Aberton is certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and specializes in individual (child-adult) therapy, family systems, parent-child interaction therapy, DBT, CBT, and disorders the Autism Spectrum. She specializes in treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and more.

Dr. Tamara Watkins

Dr. Watkins completed her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, eating disorders, post-bariatric recovery and support, sexual trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, marriage and family issues, single father families resulting from divorce, foster care/adoption-related family concerns, dementia, caregiver issues, and female identity development. Dr. Watkins has extensive experience working with Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, Juvenile Court Service Units, Department of Social Services offices, and various community partners throughout Northern, Central, and Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Ms. Daniela Brevis

Ms. Brevis completed her Master’s of Education degree in Counseling and Development from George Mason University. She provides individual, family, and group therapy services to at risk youth and families. She also works with young adults experiencing mood disturbance, anxiety and stress. Ms. Brevis enjoys working with a multicultural and diverse population and has experience with domestic violence and severe trauma cases. She is bilingual and can speak both English and Spanish.

Ms. Christine Bingman

Ms. Bingman completed her master’s degree in School Counseling from George Washington University. She has experience in providing individual counseling in the areas of academic, social-emotional, and career. She works with children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and more. Ms. Bingman enjoys working with the military population and currently provides a pro-bono group for Veterans.
